Abstract
Some blood constituents as the total nitrogen, the protein nitrogen, the non-protein nitrogen, the urea nitrogen, the preformed and total creatinine, the uric acid, the inorganic phosphorus, the blood sugar, the haemoglobin, Cl (as NaCl) and H2O were determined in the blood, before and after single and after second suprarenalectomy, that is, loss of both the main suprarenal bodies. The rabbits survived the double suprarenalectomy indefinitely, as is needless to say. The determinations yielded no difference in the concentration of the constituents in the three sets of experiments, that is, the loss of both the suprarenal capsules does not alter the blood constituents under discussion.
