Abstract
In my preceding experiment, b- and f-classed rabbits-rabbits with low and high-classed liver power of ammonia detoxication-showed a different bearing toward cantharidin nephritis. The b-classed animals succumbed to the poison, while most of f-classed ones suirvived the poisoning. The difference was also seen in the curve. of blood urea between these two kinds of rabbits.
In the present paper I was able to show that yakriton, the detoxicating hormone of the liver, can rescue b-classed rabbits from the poisoning, though the rate of survival was different according to the numbers of R. A. U. of yakriton. And it is. interesting to, note that the curve of blood urea of the b-classed animals that were saved from, the fatal poisoning by use of yakriton became very similar to that of f-classed animals which are safe from the poisoning.
