Abstract
In white rats, double suprarenalectomy resulted frequently in suppressing the oestrous, but when animals were capable of surviving indefinitely, the oestrous cycle appears also in normal rhythm. The cortico-suprarenal extract acts to restore the cycle when given into doubly suprarenalectomized rats; and when this treatment be carried out long enough, they can survive indefinitely with normal oestrous cycles.
Ovarial follicle' hormon acts to induce the oestrous in doubly suprarenalectomized rats, although it has no effect upon the life duration at all, as is unneccessary to repeat here.
