Abstract
Results of 123 cases without special complications will be summar-ized.
1. Red cell. count was 5, 094, 4, 869 and 4, 632 thousands in the cases of strongly Arakawa-positive, intermediate, and completely or almost completely Arakawa-negative group respectively.
2. Blood platelet count was 307, 395 and 495 thousands in the cases of strongly Arakawa-positive, intermediate, and completely, or almost completely Arakawa-negative group respectively.
3. As to Horwitz's classification of blood platelets, the percentage of the sum of spindle-shapped and small platelets and pathologi cal large platelets was larger according as Arakawa's reaction became weaker.
4. In the cases in which infants and/or their mothers had been' taking vitamin B, blood platelet count was within the normal limits, while red cell count and classification of blood platelets still remained in the count corresponding to that of the intermediate group of Ara kawa's reaction.
