Abstract
Cats were poisoned with insulin, and a few hours later they were placed into a cold bath for a time. While the body temperature further fell, the blood sugar content inclined to increase definitely, and shiver-ing took place. These phenomena became manifest irrespective of the fact that the suprarenal medulla was rendered functionless, contrary to a previous writer.
