1. By extraction with the physiological saline solutionl was isolated from a bull tendon a mucoid-“tendomucoid α ”-containing an acetyl-glucosamine-galactose-sulfuric acid (10:11:12)- complex.
2. Into a lime water subsequently applied came over another mucoid “tendomucoid β ”-composed of tendomucoid α and chondroitinsulfuric acid.
Parts of the costs of this work were defrayed by a grant from the Foundation for Promotion of Science and Industrial Research and that given by the Government Grant Committee for Scientific Researches of the Education Department.
