Abstract
Three cell lines were established from the spleens of adult 0311 mice, In the primary cultures, the cell growth appeared in a few days and gradually ceased. However, medium exchange procedure was still continued every 2 to 4 days thereafter. After various lag periods, the multiple fibroblastic colonies were observed and could be subeultured into all subsequent generations. Those cells of eleven months' culture produced subcutaneous tumors in C3H mice. Modal numbers of the three cell lines were in the (near) diploid range and all chromosomes were telocentric.
