Abstract
Attempts were made to analyze by means of a computer system urometro-graphic data of an apparently healthy man as well as electroureterograms of healthy dogs. In an apparently healthy man, discharge intervals of contraction complexes averaged 23.3 see, contracting pressure 27.91mm H2O and resting pressure 11.7mm H2O at a constant urine flow. In normal dogs with constant urine flow, discharge intervals averaged 2.94 sec, travel rate of ureteral peristalsis 30.65mm/sec and amplitude 0.87mV. In normal dogs the discharge interval between action poten-tials of the ureter continuously increased or decreased, or changed in pace more suddenly depending on the degree of increase in intraureteral pressure as urine flow increased.
