A Study on the Ex-post Evaluation Method of Railway Projects

Abstract

The object of this paper is to report about investigation of the ex-post evaluation method of railway projects in Japan. Firstly a result of post-project evaluation about 3 existing railways based on the“Project Evaluation Manual”is reported, secondly the discussions about evaluation method at the Committee meeting is introduced, and finally the issues in accordance with the result of the study is discussed. This paper contribute to the further improvement of Ex-post project evaluation method.
