The authors propose a novel phase-compensated PSK technique for mobile digital audio broadcasting (DAB), referred to as phase-compensated PSK (PC-PSK), with phase error compensation. Phase errors between +90 to -90 degrees can be corrected by the compensation mechanism such as mirror image effect. The numerical results show that the PC-16PSK can achieve much better BER than those of the conventional QPSK in the high range of SNR.
