This paper describes a IRD for Digital TVRO system. Introduction of "MPEG2" compression technology makes this system to transmit multi-channel high quality video signals via satellite. The IRD functions as Receiver and Decoder, and has capability of error correction, video/audio decoding, descrambling and so on.
