Vitamin A of blood serum and breast milk of infant and lactating mother was determined by glyceroldichlorohydrin method. 1) Vitamin A level in blood serum of healthy infants under eight years of age was found to be less than that of those above nine years old, and average level was 104IU/dl. Vitamin A level in weak infant differed little to that of healthy one. Correlation coefficient (r) was 0.69 in lactating mothers receiving vitamin A preparations, but no correlation was odserved those receiving no vitamin. Vitamin A administration showed the influence more clearly on the vitamin content of milk than on that of blood serum.
