The contents of vitamin B_<12> per g of tissues or organs in normal albino rats were highest in the bone marrow, the mean value being 141 mμg/g. In the kidney 99.2 mμg/g was found, while in spleen 35.8,in muscle 22.5 mμg/g respectively. When 1μg of vitamin B_<12> was given subcutaneously daily for six consecutive days, the content of kidney was increased by four fold, in the spleen about twice. Other organs showed no significant increase. When 1μg of vitamin B_<12> was given orally for six days, only the kidney showed the significant increase, being about one and a half of the normal value.
