Investigation was made on the toxicity to young rats of orally administered oxidation products of vitamin A by heating and aeration. Little or no disorder was recognized in the rats. From the result the authors do not always insist that the oxidation products of vitamin A have no toxicity to the animals. However, the finding might be a proof that the disorders found with vitamin A samples would be due to vitamin A itself.
