Rachitic symptoms of animals were recovered by vitamin D injection, and the P content of the stomach and large intestine was decreased without exception by the injection in both rachitic and normal animals. The Ca-content of stomach did not clearly show any tendency of increase or decrease by the injection. As to the Ca-content in large intestine, rachitic animals showed a decreasing trend, but normal animals only obscurely showed the trend by the injection. The Na- and K-content of stomach and large intestine increased without exception in the normal animal, but decreased in the malnutritive rachitic animal by the injection.
