In previous paper, the authors reported the formation of deoxyinosine-^<14>C from inosine-8^<14>C by washed cell suspension of L.leichmannii ATCC 7830. In the present paper the incorporation of ^<14>C of hypoxanthine-8^<14>C or D-ribose-1^<14>C in deoxyinosine was studied, according to the method described in previous paper, and the products formed by the reaction were examined by two dimensional paper chromatography, autoradiography and paper chromatoscanning. By the addition of hypoxanthine-^<14>C and ribose, ^<14>C was found in deoxyinosine fraction by paper chromatoscanning in amount of 2.7% of the added ^<14>C, but in the case of hypoxahthine and D-ribose-1^<14>C were used, the incorporation of ^<14>C in deoxyinosine was scarcely recognized.
