HPLC either with fluometric or electrochemical detectors was applied for determination of retinyl palmitate, α-tocopherol, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid and phylloquinone in liquid preparations for enteral alimentation. The methods showed high selectivity for detection of the individual vitamins. For determination of pantothenic acid and biotin, biological assay methods were performed. Simultaneous determination method of retinol and α-tocopherol, or thiamine and riboflavin, were rapid and available to be routinely used in laboratory. During storage of the preparations at room temperature for 12 months, thiamine and folic acid were lost by 12% and 25% in a neutral preparation, respectively, while 39% of thiamine and 10% of folic acid were lost i an acidic preparation. There were no remarkable changes for other vitamins in both preparations.
