The amounts of daily intakes vitamin E and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA ), and the intake ratios of vitamin E to PUFA in Japanese were investigated by a model menu method. One week menu, which covers the Japanese recomennded dietary allowance for energy, proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals, was provided under imaging 40 years man. The daily meals made according to the menus were collected after cooking and then homogenized to provide for analysis. Tocopherols were analyzed by HPLC and fatty acids by GC. α-Tocopherol (mg/day ), α-tocopherol equivalent total vitamin E (mg/day ) analyzed in the meals were 7.27±2.25mg and 8.08±2.40mg, respectively.
