Abstract
Investigations from various viewpoints on the influence of dehydroacetic acid on the oxidation of vitamin A showed that the substance had little or no effect on the prevention of the vitamin from oxidation. Dehydroacetic acid might be used as a antifungal agent for foods and pharmaceuticals containing vitamin A, since the substance does not promote the oxidation of vitamin A.
