N-[(1-Hydroxy-3-phenylpropan-(R,S)-2-yl)carbamothioyl]-3-nitrobenzamide was synthesized and the crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffractometry. The carbonyl and thiocarbonyl moieties point in approximately opposite directions. The unit-cell dimensions are a = 7.226(2)Å, b = 7.408(2)Å, c = 16.557(5)Å with α = 84.990(4)°, β = 83.809(9)°, γ = 89.478(4), V = 877.8(4)Å.
