Crystal Structure of Diiodo, (4′-Chlorobenzoylmethylenetriphenylphosphorane), (dimethylsulfoxide), Mercury(II) Complex, C₂₈H₂₆ClHgI₂O₂PS

The crystal structure of a pale-yellow complex [(Ph₃PCHC(O)C₆H₄Cl)·HgI₂·DMSO] was determined by the X-ray diffraction method. All atoms occupy general positions in the monoclinic space group, P2₁/c and have the following unit-cell dimensions: a = 15.5243(7)Å, b = 10.0196(5)Å, c = 20.0731(10)Å, β = 100.292(4)°, Z = 4 and V = 3072.1(3)ų.
