Abstract
The extracts of 117 kinds of plants were examined for the antitumor activity against Ehrllch ascites tumor by the cylinder-plate method and the following plants (solvents) were found to be effective: Cinchona succirubra (water), Gardenia jasminoides (acetone, ether), Trachelospermum asiaticum (water, methanol, acetone, ether), Gentiana lutea (water), Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi (water, methanol, acetone, ether), Aucuba japonica (water, ether), Panax repens (ether), Trapa natans (ether), Phellodendron amurense (water, methanol, acetone), Rhanunculus glaber (methanol, acetone, ether), Paeonia albiflora (water, methanol), Paeonia suffruticosa (ether), Coptis japonica (water, methanol), Zingiber officinale (methanol), Allium sativum (methanol, ether).
