Colorless needles, m.p. 82∼83°, and colorless prismatic crystals, m.p. 174∼175°, were respectively obtained in 0.5% and 1.1% yield from the leaves and the root bark of Fagara okinawaensis NAKAI, and were respectively identified as xanthoxylin and skimmianine. Pale yellow microneedles, m.p. 252∼253°, were obtained in 1.09% from the leaves of Fagara cuspidata ENGL., and were identified with a kind of linarin substance. Dried cut root bark of Fagara fauriei NAKAI was extracted and xanthyletin was obtained in 0.65% and hesperidin in 0.83%, from the methanol extract.
