(±)-Phenyl-1-(imidazol-1-yl)-n-alkyl ketone-type compounds were prepared by the reaction of imidazole with (±)-phenyl-1-bromo-n-alkyl ketones. It was found that these compounds had high antifungal activity in vitro and antitrichophyton activity in vivo.
