The type-specimens of four species of Japanese wolf spiders are examined. Lycosa lacernata is transferred to the genus Trochosa and is synonymized with T. ruricola. Lycosa ipsa is changed to the genus Tricca and it has a priority to Tricca japonica. Pardosa astrigera should be used to the species which has long been identified with P. T-insignita in Japan. Pardosa laura has no problem.
The six Japanese species of the genus Uloborus are transferred to the other genera related to Uloborus: sinensis SIMON, varians BÖSENBERG et STRAND, incognitus DÖNITZ et STRAND, yesoensis (SAITO) and sybotides BÖSENBERG et STRAND to Octonoba; prominens BÖSENBERG et STRAND to Philoponella. Uloborustokyoensis KISHIDA is synonymized with Octonoba sinensis (SIMON). A key to the genera of the subfamily Uloborinae is given.
Two new agelenid spiders from the area south of Namche Bazar in the Solukhumbu District, East Nepal, are described under the names Agelena lukla and A. sherpa.
A new species of oribatid mite, Heterobelba stellifera (Oribatida: Heterobelbidae), is discribed from Japan. A key to the species of the genus Heterobelba BERLESE is also given.
