A Mössbauer microspectrometer with the Multi-Capillary X-ray (MCX) lens was constructed to focus the γ-ray beam. The focused beam size obtained by the MCX lens was estimated to be φ500 μm at 14.4 keV beam energy. The Mössbauer spectrum of 57Fe foil exhibited a similar transmittance compared with that measured without the MCX lens. The beam intensity transmitted through the MCX lens was however lower than that passing through a φ500 μm pinhole. The Mössbauer microspectroscopic measurement using the MCX lens would be a useful method to study small Fe-bearing specimens embedded in inclusions.
