In this article, we will survey the interrelation between the phase separation phenomena and the physical properties of perovskite-type doped mangnaites, R
1-xA
xMnO
3. The focused physical properties of doped manganites are the insulator-metal transition and the impurity-induced ferromagnetism. Our structural investigation strongly suggests that both the properties are independent of the phase separation phenomena, even though the phenomena take place in these doped manganites. We further discuss the possibility of the spontaneous charge separation in Cal
1-nTb
nMnO
3.
