    【Purpose】The aim of this research was to investigate the tendency of strength and satisfaction of Five Basic Needs advocated in choice theory psychology in practicing ILPT (Integrated Low Back Pain Technology) for chronic low back pain patients. 【Methods】We distinguished participants between Chronic low back pain group: 13 patients hospitalized in our spine and low back pain center and healthy group: 19 healthy employees. As analyzing the result of Five Basic Needs: Needs for Love and Belonging, Needs for Power, Needs for Freedom, Needs for Fun, Needs for Survival, questionnaire on the strength and satisfaction by Student 's t test. 【Result】The strength in Five Basic Needs did not show any significant difference in both groups except for the Needs for Freedom. In the degree of satisfaction, for the Needs for Love and Belonging and Needs for Fun was significantly lower in the chronic low back pain group.【Conclusion】We found that Basic Needs tends to be not satisfied in patients with chronic low back pain, and it is suggested that it is one of the factors that prolongs pain.

    This report describes the practice of Integrated Low back Pain Technology (ILPT) toward a client who were with Schizophrenia and chronic low back pain. In a exercise therapy session, I found that perception errors were related with low back pain and tried a social psychological approach, ILPT, to the pain as non-specific low back pain. As a result, the pain was improved by improving relationship with client’s partner and psychological stress.

    Recently, non-public insurance services are getting attention more in Japan. Tissue gliding approach (TGA) proposed by the International Integrated Rehabilitation Association is utilized to every people regardless of health condition. In this practice report with a person who have symptoms of the gastrointestinal system, I estimated the efficacy of TGA as one of non-public insurance services.

  • Possibility of multi interaction to a person’s narrative

    Narrative has one of the possibility to see a whole of person and understand one’s circumstances. Evidence-Based-Medicine(EBM) and Narrative-Base-Medicine(NBM) complement each other without biased each single factor of being illness. Professionals of rehabilitation can utilize manual interventions as a tool of dialogue to practice narrative approach. Rehabilitation should be creating to new narrative in such a process. I will explain about narrative which the professionals are needed in 21th century.

    Health management is a company's efforts to actively invest in the health promotion of employees. On the part of companies, it is an issue that employee mental and physical disorders are causing the company's productivity to decline. From the approach to the company which carried out support of health management this time, we considered that communicating the knowledge and technology possessed by rehabilitation professionals leads to the enlightenment of the importance of self-care mainly for prevention. In the future, we will report on future tasks required for rehabilitation professionals in order to support continuous health management.

    International Association of Integrated Rehabilitation (IAIR) defines the meaning of “Integrated Rehabilitation” as including medical, social, vocational and educational rehabilitation. In this article, I described the necessity to nurture professionals of Integrated Rehabilitation which can practice interpretation and integration from the perspective of ICF in order to capture the needs diversified values of elderly people.

    Tissue gliding approach (TGA) is a manual approach to encourage one’s body fluid circulation, like interstitial fluid, as a result of sliding connective tissue combined with manual skin contact by a therapist and joint movements. IAIR (International Association of Integrated Rehabilitation) has been proposing as one of the concepts to achieve the purpose of solving immovable situations in everyday life. In this paper, I demonstrated TGA's idea that could be utilized from the rehabilitation site to the preventive field.

    Medical aroma therapy is poorly understood, although several effects have been suggested in human beings. There are few reports available on the effectiveness of medical aroma therapy. The aims of this study were to review effectiveness of medical aroma in a whole field of health care and to demonstrate the possibility of Medical Aroma Rehabilitation Therapy(MART), integrated medical aromas with rehabilitation approaches advocated by International Association of Integrated Rehabilitation.
