Shallow ground water in Hohu plain has been studied twice time with an interval of seven years. The groundwater level has fallen down except some areas near sea shore in this duration. The distribution of Cl' contents has generally not chan too, but local saline contaminations are observed near the deep and large discharge wells. A model of shallow ground water is proposed. This model is used to estimate the effects of new discharge wells which are planed as soruces of city water supply on groundwater level. The results of such simulation shows the fall of groundwater level by new discharge wells will be less than 33cm at a point 250m distant from the well. Ile maximum dischar rate of the new wells avoiding the salinewater contamination will be estimated as 10,800m
3/day in summer and 7,200m
3/day in winter.
