    After the Great East Japan Earthquake, teacher in-service training is carried out in each area. There are various kinds of teacher in-service training which can expect to raise a teacher's ability and nature about disaster prevention education. In this paper, those present condition and subjects were explored. Also in it, it focused on training by educational administration, such as the country and many prefectures in Japan. The meaning which deals with the training about the disaster prevention in the educational center which can be said to be traditional, especially Japan, was taken and mentioned. And the contents of training and the method before and behind the Great East Japan Earthquake by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology were surveyed.
    Next, out of the teacher in-service training currently tackled in Japan, being based on the peculiarity of the area and the generality, Fukushima Prefecture and Shiga Prefecture were taken up as an example, and those measures were introduced. From a viewpoint of the teacher training asked for future, in order to understand the mechanism of natural disaster generating, the necessity of interlocking scientific literacy and disaster prevention education was described. Furthermore, its attention was paid to the importance of cooperation with a school, and a home and the community.
