Internatiorial Aylesbury Collaborative Study was proposed by N.J.Cook, A.G.Davenport, J .D. Holmes et al.This smdy aims to improve the assessment of wind-tnduced Load on low-rise buildings through wtnd tunnel model-scale tests.
Wind tunnel tests were conducted using the scale model of the low-rise building constructed at Aylesbury.
The results of our wind tunnel iests are compared with the full scale data and with the wind tunnel data whtch have already been conducted by other researchers. the results of c mparison are summed up as follows,
(1) As the boundary layer near the ground was well simulated in our wind tunnel tests, the profiles of mean speed and turbulence i_itensfty agreed well to those of full-scale.
(2) Both mean pressures and r.m.s.pressures measured in wind tunnel were generally in good agreemen_with those obtained in fall scale and also with those obtained in other wind tunnel tests.
(3) Power spectra of fluctuating pressures measured in wind tunnel agreed well with those obtained by other wind tunnel tests.
(4) The extreme value dtstr lbutKms cf wall pressures measured in triad wnnel were expressed well by the theoretical distributions of Fisher-Tippett 1 Type.
