    The rate of population older than 65 years old in Towa Town, Oshima Island in Inland Sea, is 49.9%. It is the highest rate in Japan. Most of those elderly people are working every day and many of them go fishing for a pastime in sunny days, they are usually called‘pension fishermen’. They don't need high speed and long distance run for their boats.
    We have researched and developed on the motor, hull and control system of the boat with solar energy since 1992. The advantages of the boat are no fuel oil, no emission of exhaust gas, and a little vibration and noise. This paper intro-duces that the solar boat is suit to the fishing boat for those elderly people and maritime and atmospheric environment.

    The air-water separator in this study is based on the principle of the electrostatic precipitator with the positive and negative poles, which has been widely utilized to collect the dust contained in flue gas exhausted from the industrial plants such as coal fired power station. This mechanism of separation is that the Coulomb force operating between the both poles collects the water droplets charged negative ions by corona discharge on the surface of positive pole.
    The cylindrical separator by the Coulomb force used here consists of a stainless tube of φ57.2mm and length of 154mm as positive pole, and a stainless wire of φ1.0mm as negative pole. The experiments were carried out at 0 m/s without water droplets and 4.0m/s with and without water droplets in mean air velocity, and at 0 to 17kV in DC high voltage.
    And, the theoretical analyses also were done using the data under the same conditions as those used in the experiment.
    Consequently, the behavior of a water droplet flowing in the separator and existing between two electrodes is made clear to determine the basic equations of motion for a water droplet and the distribution of dielectric constant. And, the theoretical length to collect whole droplets in the separator by the Coulomb force can be estimated and agrees with the length obtained by the experiments.

    On the GHGs (Green-House Gases) exhausted from marine diesel engine, there are on overwhelming majority on marine CO2 (11, 6134ton-Carbon) . However, the drastic system to reduce CO2 has not been fundamentally settled ever today. This research makes a new technology to use the electrolyzed seawater for an after-treatment of marine CO2. This method produces a large amounts of an alkaline solution (pH≅10) in the cathode room of electrolytic bath (5A, 10V), and there are the soluble reaction by the bubbled CO2 gas. The maximum removal rate of CO2 is about 80% from the experimental results.
