A boundary-layer momentum integral equation is solved by using Pohlhousen's biquadratic expression for velocity distribution in order to clarify laminar boundary layers in the entrance region between parallel plane electrodes. The positions, in which two laminar boundary layers come together to cause the potential core to vanish, and in which they transit from laminar to turbulent, are obtained and shown in Fig. 5.
It is concluded through the experiments, in which workpieces of pure iron are electrochemically machined with sodium nitrate solution, that the change of the cathode shape due to the deposition of anodic products is inverted onto the anode surface to deteriorate the accuracy. Hydrodynamic conditions are presented to prevent the deposition in terms of the results of the analysis for the laminar boundary layers.

In the electric discharge machining, it is much effective method to improve working characteristics by making a change supplying pulse form. But it has not been investigated enough that what pulse form is most adequate or not.
On the other hand, the pulse form observed in working (electric discharge) spot (electrode gap) is so considerably different comparing with the pulse form in energy source of supply (the output terminal of power supply circuit) that it is required further examination.
The present time, the working energy of rectangular pulse form is used widely, but the pulse form observed on electrode gap is different from the pulse form observed in the output terminal, its very diffrent point is the rising and falling parts of pulse form.
The distorted rectangular pulse form observed in electrode gap is similar to the triangular pulse form in the point of rasing and falling parts. Accordingly, the melting, vaporizing valume and those forms about the triangular pulse form were calculated throught the heat transmission by means of the Monte Carlo method, and were investigated comparing with those of the rectangular pulse form.
Consequently, it has become clear that the influences of triangular pulse form on the working characristics, and the relationships between the working energy pulse form in the actual working and working charcteristics.
