Purpose: Role of ultrasonic Flow Imaging diagnosis in differential classification of Ductal Carcinoma in Situ
Subjects and Methods: At first, we classified DCIS which were diagnosed an abundance of vascular signals and vascular morphology and mapping with criteria of the breast tumor Doppler ultrasound at JABTS, and then compared them with MRI.
Results and Discussion: Qualitative assessment of flow Imaging diagnosis by ultrasound has been proven not to be inferior compared with that by MRI.
Regarding the boundary section pattern diagnosis, including the periphery, when the evaluation of the vascularity in an affected area was found to be hypervascular, it was found that the vascularity in irregular flow/surrounding tissue will be more.
Conclusion: When an evaluation of the vascularity in an affected area is hypervascular, it is strongly suspected to be an irregular flat type hypoechoic DCIS, rather than a mastopathy type hypoechoic.
