    I created a source-code-based teaching material that can display the cross-sectional shape of the atomic orbital at the z, x plane in three different ways (contour display, grid point method, and stippling method). The atomic orbital formula defined as the product of the radial wave function and the spherical harmonic function of which the complex function part being taken as the absolute value gives the shape as a rotating body around the z axis.
    The contour display gives a visual index of the degree of the spread of the electron cloud. The sizes of various atomic orbitals mainly change with the main quantum number, but even if the azimuthal quantum number changes, there is not so large difference in size as seen in the radial wave function nor in the radial distribution function. On the other hand, the spread of the spherical electron cloud of closed or semi-closed shell structure (i.e. composed of all the orbit set whose azimuth quantum number is 2 or more, such as px, py and pz, being filled with electrons) coincides with the spread of the radial wave function. By using this teaching material, it is possible to display the shape of a certain hybrid orbital by specifying it as a linear combination of atomic orbitals.
    In this teaching material also includes a new method of displaying the spherical harmonic function, with filled circles, of their diameters proportional to the absolute value of the function, on the same circumference. The displayed result with this method gives an image closer to the actual atomic orbital shape than the polar plot of the spherical harmonic function.

    The Diary of Sanuki no Suke is a diary written by a lady-in-waiting who served Emperor Horikawa. Even after Emperor Horikawa grew up, his father, Shirakawa-in, continued to influence him. Shirakawa-in did not appear in the work in reality, but he was the one who controlled the lives of Emperor Horikawa and the author.

    This is a summary guide to 51 books of Richmond Robin Readers, which seem to be targeted at teenage learners of English, judging from the ages of the protagonists: 12 or 13 to 19 years old in accordance with the levels from 1 (300 headwords) to 6 (1800 headwords). The characteristics of this series are as follows: 1) A fifth of the stories are set in Australia whose indigenous animals such as crocodiles and kangaroos are effectively used in Jane Bowring's Cousins and Crocodiles and James Roy's Broken Wing. 2) Half of the books are about the teen protagonists fighting against adult criminals, mainly robbers. Although some of them are quite humorous like Denise Kirby's Black Night, others are unexpectedly serious like Pauline O'Carolan's Ride for Your Life and Deadly Holiday. A unique writer, Ms. O'Carolan prefers describing evil doings of abnormal people like an arsonist, a stalker and even a serial killer. 3) Many of the stories are based on the protagonists' newly found leisure activities such as skiing, scuba diving, horse riding, orienteering, ballooning, yachting, and rafting, out of which powerful stories like Ms. Kirby's Hot Air and Sue Murray's Wild Water were born. Since those recreational experiences are not so hard to be accessible to teenagers, they will probably enjoy reading such rather approachable adventures.
    Other recommended books you cannot miss in this series are Sue Murray's CHOIR Boy (a good-looking boy robot causes a lot of trouble at school), Sam Bowring's In Sarah's Dreams (a girl fights back the bully in her dreams), Philip Voysey's The Rainbow Girl (an outcast, hunchback girl kills a monster for her village), and Denise Kirby's What Happened at Seacliffe (through the visit to her rich cousins in England, an Australian female student gets to know that her ancestor was robbed of his inheritance and forcibly sent to the faraway land as a criminal most probably by his own brother).

    For the sake of the Japanese learners of English who love reading, this paper introduces three different series of readers: Garnet Oracle Readers, Summertown Readers, and National Geographic's Global Issues. Garnet Oracle and Summertown are both so-called graded readers. The former are for high school and university students who study English as a foreign or second language while the latter are written for businesspeople who have to learn English as a lingua franca. Both are, however, original fictional stories, some of which are quite enjoyable and really worth reading. Peter Viney, Garnet's main author, can write a variety of genres: for example, Space Romance is a romantic sci-fi story in an impressive setting; A Tidy Ghost is a witty ghost story whose terror dramatically changes into sheer humor at the ending; but, above all, his Underground is highly recommended because of the unforgettable character Tommy, a mute elderly man who lives in the London underground, saving the protagonist in big trouble. Summertown's counterpart must be James Schofield. Although his amateurish suspense stories tend to be rather boring, his humorous stories such as Room Service and Double Trouble are readable with a lot of laughter.
    National Geographic's Global Issues may seem to be no comparison with these interesting stories since they are serious nonfiction pamphlets edited for American high school students. Despite the foreign language, Japanese students can also appreciate the discussed, grave environmental problems of our planet Earth where the population explosion has been causing disastrous situations. In a sense, fact is truly stranger than fiction. So, which is more interesting, fiction or nonfiction? I hope you read the three series and decide for yourself.

    Sidney Sheldon (1917-2007), a legendary best-selling American novelist of romantic suspense, was also very popular in Japan. According to the top ten lists including Japanese authors, his name appeared for 7 consecutive years from 1988 to 1994. This unbreakable record is generally assumed by Japanese critics, who are apparently unfamiliar with his work, to be thanks to the unique translational method called "cho-yaku" (literally, super-translation) invented by Tatsuyuki TENMA (pen name of Kunio MASHIKO), a kind of technique enabling an American novel to look like one originally written in Japanese. Mr.Tenma, as the president of the publishing house Academy Shuppan, seems to have built a close relationship with Sidney Sheldon, getting his trust and permission to translate not only most of Sheldon's well-known 18 novels but also rare ones unpublished in the United States such as Man on the Run, The Dictator, and The Revenge. The Chase (1984), in which Masao, the 18-year-old Japanese heir to a Sony-like international company, survives with a samurai spirit his uncle's devilish plot in the US, remains an unforgettable present to Japan from Sidney Sheldon because it was kindly and earnestly written for Japanese learners of English, responding to Mr.Tenma's unusual request. Probably cho-yaku helped Sheldon's books sell as well as in his home country, but it was undoubtedly Sheldon's genius in storytelling that kept his Japanese fans absorbed in turning the page.

    We are following to prepare with the aid of Microsoft(MS) Office 365 to implement the PDCA cycle of safety education and training in machine shop practice. MS Forms facilitate to collect near-miss accidents from students and tabulate data graphically. Report style output are made from written questionnaire data in MS Excel file using merge print function in MS Word. Information web site by MS Sway is launched sharing reports of risk assessment and near-miss accidents to improve the PDCA cycle.

    We propose mathematical models of werewolf with two parameters; execution probabilities and attack probabilities. We conduct a simple simulation in simple settings to compare our models with real play logs of werewolf and evaluate their validity.

    We propose a system to support fighting game beginners. This system points failures of the beginner’s playing and instructs reform measures. In addition, this system replays scenes the beginner failed and offers chances to try the scene again. We conducted a simple experient with the prototype system. We had some testers play the prototype system who have answered two questionnaires. We got high praise to proposed method, but we could not get high praise to the prototype system. The effect of correcting mistakes could not be confirmed.

    X-ray diffraction method is very powerful as a method for evaluating ceramic materials. This is a particularly effective method for analyzing the crystal structure of crystalline substances. Most of the purposes can be achieved by using the software attached to the measuring device. Even beginners who are not familiar with the evaluation of materials by the X-ray diffraction method can easily analyze the measurement data by referring to the database. These software can be used with confidence even by beginners, and it seems that they are widely used in the actual field of ceramic material research and development, including experts. Software and measuring equipment that even beginners can use with peace of mind are convenient, but they also become black boxes, making it possible to evaluate materials without understanding the contents. This is sufficient for routine work, but when conducting a more detailed study, it is necessary to understand the information that the diffraction peak means. Therefore, the author set up an experiment on the theme of "evaluation of ceramic materials using X-ray diffraction method" in advanced engineering course, and made students understand the X-ray diffraction method to evaluate ceramic materials.

    We suggest that UV applied wastewater and treated water for the experiments in sanitary engineering of 4th grade student in department of civil engineering. The safety management was concerned for sanitary conditions. The results of water quality using some analyzers is not affected by UV radiation. The similar data were obtained at 7 kinds of water quality analysis, when we used wastewater and treated water from the septic tank. However, the difference of COD and NH4-N data used UV radiation were a little higher as compared with wastewater and treated water data. The method of explanation for using UV radition has to be improve. These results Indicate that using the artificial wastewater on experiments for students in sanitary engineering has a few improvement.
