There are several ways of creating lightning countermeasures using simulation. In this paper, the ways using an equivalent circuit are described. The transient voltage on the ports of equipment installed inside the building caused by a lightning strike to the building could be calculated by an equivalent circuit and analyzed specifically. In addition, quantitative evaluations of ordinal lightning protections by equivalent circuits are shown.
