活性炭にニッケル塩を含浸させてからH中で昇温し,ガス化反応に対するニッケルの触媒活性を調べた。400～700℃と800～1000℃の2領域でCH4生成が活発になるが,両者はニッケル量依存性活性炭前処理効果,原料塩種の効果などが異なり,異なる反応機構で進むものと考えられる。未処理の活性炭にNi(NO₃)2を担持させるとニッケル量1.5%付近までは低温域の転化率が小さいが,それより高濃度のニッケルに対し転化率が急増する。硝酸処理で表面酸性点をさせると不活性なニッケル分が約4%まで増加したが,それ以上のニッケル分の活性は未処理試料に対するものより大きい。Ni3CO₃(OH)4(アンモニア水より含浸)もNi(NO₃)2に近い活性をもつが,その他のニッケル塩はおおむね低温域の活性が小さかった。しかしNic1,を含浸した試料でガス化時の試料量を少なくすると低温域転化率が大きくなり,これは還元温度が下がってニッケルの分散状態がよくなったためと推定した。反応中間状態での試料の見かけの磁化率は低温域のガス化とともに増大し,高温域のガス化とともに減少して,反応中にニッケルの分散状態ないしは結合状態が変化していることを示唆した。

A new method of catalyst addition on coal has been developed in. order to increase the contact area between catalyst and coal. Four coals were immersed into liquid ammonia solution of nickel thiocyanate at 120°C and 90 kg/cm₂. Upon the evaporation of ammonia, we obtained coals impregnated with the nickel salt. A remarkable increase in reactivity for the steam gasification was observed for all coals. For example, , when 2.0% of nickel was impregnated on Leopold coal by this method, the char conversion at 750°C after 2h was 73%. This value was 2 times as large as one observed for the con-ventional impregnation method. The observation of nickel particles on coal by a scanning electron microscope showed that nickel particles were well dispersed not only on the external surface of coal but also on the internal surface. The higher reactivity for the steam, gasification with the present method might be due to a better dispersion of nickel catalysts. on coal particles.

石炭の接触ガス化においては,石炭と触媒との良好な接触が望まれる。これを実現するための一手段として,石炭をニッケル塩の水溶液の存在下で0.02mm以下に粉砕し乾燥する担持方法を検討した。新夕張炭にこの方法でヘキサアンミンニッケル(II)炭酸塩を担持して乾留したところ,粘結性のいちじるしい低下が認められ,ガス化に好都合であることがわかった。ニッケルは約60Å程度の微粒子として均一に分散しており,従来の一般的な含浸法のものにくらべて分散状態ははるかに良好であった。また,水蒸気ガス化に対する反応性を急速加熱の可能な熱テンビンを用いて調べた。原炭を単に粉砕しただけのものに対して,ニッケルを0.2, 0.5, 1.7, 7.5%添加したものの750℃における反応速度定数は,それぞれ2.0, 2.9, 3.6, 5.7倍となった。原炭と,従来法で1.7%のニッケルを添加したものとの比が約1.4倍であることを考えると,この方法によって添加した触媒の効果はかなり大きいものであることがわかる。また,7.5%添加したものの反応速度は,850℃における原炭の反応速度と同じ程度であった。触媒の添加を石炭の粉砕時に行なっても,粉砕後に行なっても大きな違いはなかった。石炭の粒径は小さいほどよいが,1～2mmのものを0.1mm程度にするだけでもかなりの効果が認められた。

We assessed natural killer (NK) cells in the peripheral blood of 55 patients with ocular Behçet's disease.
The numbers of NK cells as well as their activity were measured by immunofluorescence employing three monoclonal antibodies and ⁵¹Cr release assay using K 562 cells, respectively.
A numerical abnormality of NK cells was present especially in the remission stage. Most of NK cell activity, on the contrary, were limited to the normal range independent of disease activity.
In light of clinical ocular activity, a close relationship between the frequency of the fundus type ocular attacks and the numericl abnormality of NK cells was suggested. It is also suggested that NK cell activity might be an indicator of disease activity with respect to the ocular attacks, since a significant (p<.05) decrease was found to occur over a seven-day period following the onset of the ocular attacks.
The results seem to support the hypothesis that an abnormality in both the numbers and the activity of NK cells in patients with Behçet's disease might be related to the disease itself.

The present status of the research and development in catalytic coal gasification was overviewed. First, the strategy for process design was examined from chemical viewpoints: equilibrium, kinetics, and thermal balance. This examination clarified that the usefulness of catalyst application was limitted to only certain steps among many reactions occurring in a gasifier. Factors affectors on the catalyst effectiveness were also discussed: the catalyst type, the amount of catalyst, the gasification temperature, and so on. Alkali metal salts were evaluated as the most active catalyst, followed by transition metal catalysts. The mechanism of catalytic reaction was briefly considered from a thermodynamic point of view. Finally, the problems were pointed out which we may encounter upon scaling up a catalytic process. Loading of catalyst on coal and its recovery from a char-ash-catalyst mixture may be the most important field to be considered.

1)MRI用経口造影剤として具備しなければならない条件は第一にT_1強調画像, T_2強調画像双方に対し適正な信号強度の造影効果を有し, しかもその効果が安定して得られる事, 第二に異なる静磁場強度のMR装置に対して適正な造影効果が得られる事, 第三に経口毒性がなく安全で飲みやすい事などが揚げられるが, B・Jは本研究の範囲内においてこれらの条件をすべて満たしていた.2)T_1強調画像で理想的な陽性造影効果を示し, T_2強調画像で濃度の選択によっては, 陽性造影効果から陰性造影効果までの巾広い造影効果が得られる事が確認された.3)B・Jは天然果汁を用いているため美味しく, 香りもあり飲みやすく, 食品を用いたこれまでにない全く新しいタイプの造影剤として有用であると思われた.

アンモニア性炭酸アンモニウム水溶液による金属ニッケルの酸素加圧浸出におよぼす諸因子の影響について研究した。金属ニッケルがアンミン錯イオンとなって溶解するためには酸素以外にアンモニウムイオンが不可欠であり,アンモニウムイオン量がニッケルの溶解量を決定することがわかった。ニッケル量が6g/200=ml以下(領域A)ではニッケルの粒子表面に隣接する液境膜内を酸素が拡散する過程が律速であるのに対し,ニッケル量が6g/200ml以上(領域B)では溶液中へ酸素が溶解する過程が律速になるものと推定された。領域Aにおける溶解初速度は外形変化型の球状モデルでよく説明され,見かけの活性化エネルギーとして拡散律速を示す値1.5kcal/mol(30～110℃)が得られた。酸素分圧およびかきまぜ速度は溶解速度をいちじるしく増大させ,これらの結果も本溶解反応の律速過程が酸素の拡散にあることを示した。
石炭の水蒸気ガス化灰中のニッケルは金属状態で存在する場合には,本加圧浸出法によって容易に浸出されたが,酸化物態ニッケルの浸出は不可能であった。
