The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) published a new booklet on March 2004. The name of this one is the "Memorials in Mechanical Engineering -Railway Edition: Electric Railcars and Electric Multiple Units (EMU)-". In this booklet, there are 22 industrial heritages preserving in Japan. This report intends to introduce the planning of this booklet by listing up significant electric railcars and electric multiple units (EMU) to be compiled. The characteristics of each enlisted one are herewith explained in view of the history of technology.

This study clarified change patterns of landscape or townscape by using pictures filmed in Shinsyu-Ueda area. There are 11 items in changes of elements that make landscape or townscape. They are also divided into 4 categories as follows: element changes of building and town-street, changes of the surface of land and large-scale structures. The pictures, which include landscape or townscape elements with bad changes for its sight, haven't been filmed again in another film works. In the case of townscape there are 4 patterns (building continuity change, surface change, linear change, focus change) in element changes. We can recognize bad change factors of landscape or townscape by the viewpoints of these 4 change patterns.

　近年，地方鉄道では自動車利用への転換や少子化などにより利用者が減少し，厳しい経営を強いられているところが多い．長野県においても，現在存続問題を抱えている路線として，上田電鉄別所線，長野電鉄屋代線，松本電気鉄道上高地線の3路線があり，各地域で検討されている．これらの路線は地域の交通手段として重要な役割を果たしており，路線の存廃に関しては慎重な判断が求められるが，そのための判断指標の1つとして各路線がもっている価値評価を算出することとした．
　路線価値を計測する具体的な方法として，各路線の沿線および沿線以外の住民に対しアンケート調査を行い，調査データを用いてCVM(仮想市場評価法)による路線の価値を推定し，沿線と沿線以外で支払意思額の比較や，支払意思額に影響を与える要因の把握を行った．さらに地元自治体が支援している補助金の妥当性についての検討も行った．

This paper clarified the characteristics of Ueda's landscape and townscape through the works filmed in Ueda area and aimed to extract basic data in consideration of townscape improvement and preservation for a city of film location. Ueda has 40 film location sites in 15 works as case studies and every view is divided into townscape, landscape, and view in site of single facility. Especially townscape is important as a background where many highlight scenes have been filmed. The screen composition of townscape can be divided into 9 types from the depth of a picture in the screen, the angle against a subject, and perspective drawing types. The screen composition and townscape contents filmed present original data and maps on townscape resources and policy.
