The present author studied on seasonal variation of swimming layer of yellowfin tuna by area of different currents in the mid and southwestern parts of the Pacific Ocean. The results are as follows:
1) Swimming layer became shallowest (about 110m) in June and deepest (about 145m) in December of a year in areas of the North Equatorial current and the Equatorial Counter current (N). And it tended to rise in the spring and sink in the fall.
2) Swimming layer became shallowest (about 110m) in May and deepest (about 145m) in November in the South Equatorial current area (M) north of the convergency line (10°S). And it tended to rise in winter toward spring and sink in summer toward autumn.
3) Swimming layer in area M was a little shallower than is mentioned in literature No. 1 throughout year and the month when swimming layer was shallowest and deepest respectively in area N came a little later than in area M.
4) Swimming layer became shallowest in March (about 105m) and October (about 90m) and deepest in January (about 130m) and June or July (about 135m) of a year in the South Equatorial current area south of the convergency line. And it tended to rise and fall periodically twice a year.
5) Swimming layer in area S was shallower than in areas N and M throughout year.

It is suggested that education providing the opportunity of accessing a ship may contribute to enhancing the career decision-making self-efficacy. Therefore, the authors surveyed the changes attributable to on-board training in the career decision-making self-efficacy and the occupational consciousness of undergraduate fisheries students. The survey was conducted for the on-board training of the Faculty of Fisheries, Nagasaki University in August and September 2013. The survey questionnaire consists of questions (30 items) on the career decision-making self-efficacy scale, questions on the occupational consciousness such as desirable job, and so on. As a result, there was a tendency that the marks of the career decision-making self-efficacy scale increased after the on-board training. Consequently it was suggested that the career decision-making self-efficacy was affected by the on-board training. As for the occupational consciousness, there was no difference between before and after the training about whether the students have a desirable job or not. However, the 33 percent of students, who replied after the training that they firmly or faintly had a desirable job, responded their occupational consciousness varied after the training. Particularly focusing on the navigation related jobs including maritime officers, the number of students wanted to have such job increased by 3 after the training. Accordingly, it has suggested that on-board training would have an impact on the occupational consciousness.

The rate of population older than 65 years old in Towa Town, Oshima Island in Inland Sea, is 49.9%. It is the highest rate in Japan. Most of those elderly people are working every day and many of them go fishing for a pastime in sunny days, they are usually called‘pension fishermen’. They don't need high speed and long distance run for their boats.
We have researched and developed on the motor, hull and control system of the boat with solar energy since 1992. The advantages of the boat are no fuel oil, no emission of exhaust gas, and a little vibration and noise. This paper intro-duces that the solar boat is suit to the fishing boat for those elderly people and maritime and atmospheric environment.
