Investigation has been made on a development, improvement and clinical application of a non-woven vascular prosthesis which has roughened surface, and elasticity with latex rubber layer.
This time it's physical property has been strengthened due to the fact that one of the clinical cases developed an aneurysm at the inguinal region which endures frequent bending.
The original non-woven vascular prosthesis consisted of two layers. The improved is a four-ply prosthesis that its'each cloth is made thinner in thickness and the rubber layer is made microporous.

Lately we have ascertained the characteristic features of zircon in igneous rocks. In that case we have also pointed out that the zircons of probable sedimentary origin were encountered in igneous rocks. In this paper, the writers attempted to reveal the mineralogical features of zircon in sedimentary rocks, mostly sandstones of Tertiary age from Northern Kyushu and Hokkaido districts. Many varieties of zircon with such color as pale orange, pale blue, brown, purple and colorless are observed in these sedimentary rocks. These zircons are usually 0.15×0.06mm in size and have prominent ‘c-type’ crystal phase. And it should be emphasized that these sedimentary zircons presented characteristically rounded ‘R’ form. Distinction between sedimentary zircon and igneous zircon would be clear from the fact that zircons of rounded form ‘R’ amounted to more than 20 to 50 per cent in the sedimentary rocks in contrast with less than 20 per cent in igneous rocks.

注射用セフェム系抗生剤Cefodizime (THR-221) について臨床的検討を行った。
肺炎4例, 肺化膿症1例, 急性気管支炎1例, 気管支拡張症1例, 急性腎孟腎炎4例, 胆嚢炎2例の計13例である。
本剤1日1～2gを1日1～2回点滴静注し, 投与日数は3～20日, 総投与量は10-50gであった。
呼吸器感染症7例中1例判定不能とし, 6例中5例が有効以上であり, 尿路感染症4例, 胆道感染症2例は全例有効以上であった。以上, 判定を評価し得た12例中有効以上は11例で917%であった。
臨床的副作用は全く認めず, 本剤投与前後の臨床検査値の変動でGOT, GPTの軽度上昇が2例に認められた。

Nonwoven cloth has been considered to beasuitable material to be used as vascular substitutes, with its unique velour-like surface structure. Animal experiment showed that the thin and smooth layer of pseudointima on the luminal surface of the prosthesis has been always seen, whether the prosthesis has high porosity or not. So we have developed a 3-layered laminated vascular prosthesis made of a new nonwoven cloth which has no porosity.

In this paper, the writers studied on the morphological characters of the zircon crystals from the pyroclastic volcanic rocks in Japan and obtained the following results;
i) In the pyroclastic volcanic rocks, the zircons are contained in much smaller amount than in the granitic rocks and the grain sizes are mostly very minute ranging from 0.02×0.01mm. to 0.50×0.25mm., and 0.10×0.05mm. in common.
ii) The crystal tracht is characterized with Yamamoto's ‘c’-type same as that from granitic rocks and rhyolites.
iii) By the I-R-U trigonal diagram of the crystal forms, it was ascertained that the rounded crystals (R) and the broken ones are remarkably contained. The above-mentioned facts lead to us that the original pyroclastic volcanic rock magma might have been contaminated or assimilated by a large amount of sedimentary rocks.

This paper is described on the fundamental performance of the disc type thermomagnetic engine. The disc type engine has been designed in order to decrease the eddy current braking loss. The performance characteristics such as power, torque and loss has been measured, and compared with that of the cylindrical engine in the condition of the same volume of the temperature sensitive magnetic material. The eddy current braking loss is 0.04W which corresponds to 1/30 the loss in the cylindrical engine at the rotation speed of 0.4rps with the maximum power output. The total loss including partial losses due to the friction, the hydraulic effect and the eddy current braking is 0.9W in the disc type engine and is 1.8W in the cylindrical engine. The total loss in the disc type engine is reduced to be 50% of the value of the total loss in the cylindrical engine at the same condition mentioned above. The maximum output power is 6.0W at the rotation speed of 0.4rps in the disc type engine which is about 1.6 times larger than that of the cylindrical engine. The eddy current braking loss in the disc type engine is 0.7% of the value of the maximum output power, which is negligible effect in this engine. The power per unit volume of disc has the maximum value at the disc width of 40mm. The clearance between discs is decided to be of 1mm due to keeping the working fluid flow condition at a constant. The rotor thickness includes with the clearance and the disc thickness. The power per unit rotor thickness also has the maximum value at the disc thickness of 0.5mm. The thermomagnetic engine with the optimum condition can be designed by using these results. When the permanent magnet fixes the size constant, the disc type engine generates high output power in comparison with the cylindrical engine at the point of effective use of magnetic field.

　スキージャンプのバイオメカニクス研究では，一連動作を助走，踏切，初期飛行，安定飛行，着地準備および着地の6局面に分類して分析されることが多い．この中で，踏切から飛行における動作がパフォーマンス向上に重要であることは周知の事実である．また，実競技では，選手の滑降・滑空速度は時速約90kmに達するため，競技パフォーマンス（飛距離）に対して空気力が支配的になる．多くの先行研究が示すように，スキージャンプ選手やスキー板に作用する空気力が競技パフォーマンスに大きく影響を及ぼすことは疑いの余地がない．競技力向上を目的とした研究では，空気力学およびバイオメカニクス（運動学，運動力学）的な観点の報告が多く，得られた知見や情報の可視化が求められる．本稿では，近年の研究動向や計測技術を紹介する．そして，これらの可視化情報の指導・競技現場における活用について，その概要について述べる．

Auto-vein and exiting graft vascular prosthesis have been used for patch graft angioplasty. We devised nonwoven cloth as patch graft. The non woven cloth for medical use have been produced which is made of polyester fibers (Tetoron) bound with latex rubber. The non-woven cloth is able to cut any size without fraying, has elaticity and no blood porosity. The clinical use is mainly patch graft to location of incision for endarterectomy and defect after taking out catheter for balloon pumping and resection of malignant tumor which make an invasion upon a blood vessel. These operation have produced good results.

開存率の高い小口径人工血管の作成を目的に研究を行った. 旭化成で開発した超極細ポリエステル繊維を織り4mm径の中空管を作成した. これにアルカリ減量で繊維の太さをさらに細くする加工を行い, 最後に加熱処理により蛇腹構造を付与して3.2mm径の人工血管を完成した. 減量率は予備実験により36～38%に設定した. 作成された人工血管の壁は0.08mmと薄く, 内面構造も従来の人工血管より極めて微細なものに仕上った. この人工血管を, 約4cmの長さで雑種成犬の大腿動脈に10本移植した. 抗凝固療法はheparin 5,000単位の術中1回静脈内投与のみとした. 2週～1.5ヵ月で移植犬を犠牲死させた結果10本中6本(60%)が開存していた. 摘出した開存血管の内面は全長にわたり繊維構造が透見できる薄い内膜が観察された. Heparin coatingや内皮細胞の播種などの付加処置なしで60%の開存率は本人工血管の優れた抗血栓性を示している
