ナノ秒パルス放電プラズマは、熱損失が小さく、水処理に寄与するヒドロキシルラジカルなどの化学活性種を高効率に生成できる。その結果として、随伴水を例とする水中難分解性有機化合物の高効率処理を実現している。これまでの研究から、単一リアクターを用いた水処理では、リアクターへ注入される電力に余力が生じることが明らかとなった。そこで、放電体積を拡大し、余剰電力を効率よく消費することを目指してリアクターの3並列化を行った。しかし、実用化をするためには更なる処理の大容量化が必要である。そこで本研究では、リアクターを10並列化することで放電面積を広げ、更なる処理の大容量化および高速化を図った。

放電により生成されるOHラジカルは、水中難分解性物質処理のメカニズムの解明にとって重要な役割を果たす。OHラジカルの寿命は非常に短いためその定量化は難しく、これまでに、OHラジカルをNaTAで捕捉し、生成したHTA濃度を測定することでOHラジカルを間接的に計測する化学プローブ法が発表されているが、高エネルギー電子の生成を特徴とするナノ秒パルス放電プラズマ法においては、生成されたHTAが再び放電によって破壊されることで理論値と測定値に差異が生じる結果となった。そこで本研究では、放電によるHTA分解量を考慮し、より正確なOHラジカル測定法の提案を行い、化学プローブ法の精度向上を行った。

原油の採掘時、大量に生産される随伴水の処理が問題になっている。随伴水は，難分解性有機化合物が多種含まれ、地域によりその性状が異なるため，既存の処理方法では対応が困難である。そこで，ヒドロキシラジカル等の活性酸素種を利用した促進酸化処理が注目されている。その中でも、ナノ秒パルス電源によるナノ秒パルス放電と水滴噴霧気型リアクタの組み合わせによる処理は，放電プラズマを用いた水処理方法の中で最も高効率であることが示されている。しかし、その分解メカニズムは解明されていない。本研究では，ナノ秒パルス放電を用いて随伴水の主要成分とされている有機酸類の処理を行い、有機酸類の分解メカニズムについて調査を行った。

ラポスキイは、世界最初の造形用アナログ・コンピュータを発明して、それを使って1950年からコンピュータを使う造形の創作を始めた。本研究では、1950年以前にラポスキイの図学を形成する過程で大きな影響を及ぼすことになった19世紀にリサジューによって発明されたリサジューの装置とブラウンが発明して20世紀に発達したオシロスコープ、リサジュー図形、オシロスコープを利用したバーネットの柄デザインとマクラレンの抽象映画、ペンジュラム・フォトなどの歴史的役割を解明した。

This clinical study reported a case of trigeminal neuralgia caused by intracranial tumor. A-34-year old female was referred to our clinic with a chief complaint of fulminate pain on the gingiva at the right side of the under jaw. On oral, a carbamazepine, a herb medicine were administrated, and acupuncture was applied and as the result, pain was alleviated. However, two months later, the pain recurred and during the attack of the pain, tinnitus occurred. Intracranial tumor was suspected and CT (Computed Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) disclosed the presence of tumor in the right cerebellopontile angle. The tumor was removed at the Department of Neurocerebral Surgery and was diagnosed histpathologically as an epidermoid. After the operation, the pain disappeared and now after 11/6 postoperative years, she shows favorable prognosis. Since trigeminal neuralgia of unknown cause may sometimes be ascribable to tumor near the trigeminal nerve, like in the present case, it will be necessary to neurocerebral examine as CT and MRI.

Three cases of trigeminal neuralgia-like pain caused by an intracranial tumor are reported.
All patients were women 58 to 65 years of age. Their main complaints of these cases were paroxysmal pain affectingthe left side of the face, the right side of the mandibular gingiva, and the left side of the apex and the border ofthe tongue, respectively. In all patients, an intracranial tumor was found, either on CT or MM. These tumors werelocated at the cerebellopontine angle. Radiation therapy with a gamma knife was selected for two cases and surgicalresection was introduced in one case. When trigeminal neuralgia is suspected, it is important to ascertain thepresence of intracranial tumors by means of CT or MRI.

We report two cases of intracranial tumor causing neural symptoms as incipient symptoms in the maxillo-oral region.
Case 1: A 39-year-old woman presented with right deviation of the tongue when it was protruded. Metastasis to the cranial base was diagnosed after surgery for cervical cancer of the uterus. Cranial nerve disorders in Ⅸ-Ⅻwere identified on neurological examination.
Case 2: A 54-year-old woman presented with sensory disorders of the right hemifacial and hemiglossal regions.
A primary cerebral tumor in the right cerebellopontine angle area was diagnosed. Hypoesthesia, nystagmus, and deafness were noted in the Ⅰ-Ⅲ branch regions of the trigeminal nerve on neurological examination. Cerebral tumor excision was performed, and the histopathological diagnosis was schwannoma. Tumors arising in the central nervous system can cause various neural symptoms in the maxillo-facial region, resulting in complicated, multiple neural symptoms, as observed in our patients. Imaging diagnosis is therefore important in addition to detailed neurological examination.
