Methods engineering combined with motion and time study seems to play an important role for finding the economical way of performing the operation, standardizing the operation, and determining the time standard in industry. Motion time engineers sometime believe that the design or analysis of various industrial machines or tools should be determined by the application of methods engineering. However, they only concentrate their attention on the time factor in relation of man to machine, and not on the ratio of input to output of man-machine relationship.
So far as man-machine system, a minimal work unit, is concerned, the design of equipment should be evaluated not only in speed but in other ways, accuracy, comfort, safety and muscular force, so that the operator of such equipment will not be stressed beyond his physiological and psychological capabilities.

作業研究は, IEにおける基礎的な分野の一つである.ところで, この分野でも, 今日の電子技術の発展にともない, 時間測定装置として従来のストップ・ウォッチ(SW)のみならず電子装置の導入がさかんになっている.そこで, 本報では電子的な時計装置, 作業区分点を検出する入力検出装置, そして出力処理装置を組み合わせて, 種々の時間測定を行なうための時間測定装置, および測定手法の開発を行なった.その結果, 開発した装置および方法を用いて, 作業区分における最小単位である動素から最大単位である工程におけるあらゆる大きさの作業区分の時間を簡単かつ高精度で測定することが可能であることが示された.

人間-機械系において, 機械を主体とした考え方もたいせつであるが, 人間性の個人差もしだいに重視されるようになってきた.その考慮の段階は, 当然グループとして人間集団の平均値に対するものから始められ, やがて個々人のもつ技能についてまで考慮がおよんでいく.そこで, 組立て作業に従事する作業者のある技能程度を副次グループに分け, それぞれの, 作業能力との関係を調べた.技能程度は, 既存の労働省編職業適性検査のなかの8種類の器具検査を用い, 作業能力は, 押釦スイッチの組立て時間によって示した.その結果, 押釦スイッチの組立て能力は, 職適第2によって測られた技能との関係が強く, そのうちでも, 挿換え検査および組合せ検査の2種類を用いれば, かなりの成果があることがわかった.

この研究は, 作業の生産量に関する作業者の遂行度を評価する新しい手法を示す.この作業評価手法は, 観測されたデータの平均を考慮した推定生産量性傾向式を導き, それに作業達成度および傾向式の概念を導入したものである.この方法は, 一種の比率法による解析法である.いわばデータのばらつきを変動率δで表わし, その関数である作業達成度οで作業者の遂行度を計数的に評価する.適用例として溶接作業をとりあげ, その作業の遂行度を示す.

Posterior parietal cortex (PPC) is considered related to the formation of intention. The intention specifies the goal of a movement and the type of a movement. It has been reported in [Wang et al., PLOS ONE, 2011] that EEG signals extracted from PPC can be used to decode intended movement direction before actual movement. However, visual cue was used for users in the experiment. This raises a doubt about visual evoked potential (VEP) mixed into extracted EEG signals. It is not clear whether the extracted EEG signals were related to intentions. In this study, we conducted not only an experiment with visual cue but also an experiment with tactile cue. EEG components that could be related to PPC were extracted by using independent component analysis. Event-related potential (ERP) waveforms similar to the ones reported by Wang et al. were observed in the experiment with visual cue. On the other hand, ERP waveforms obtained in the experiment with tactile cue were totally different from the one with visual cue. These results suggest that VEP was included in the EEG signals extracted from PPC in the experiment with visual cue.

　現在，日本の学校は，いじめ，不登校などが増加し，憂慮すべき状況である。岡安・嶋田・丹羽・森・矢冨（1992）は，「教師との関係」「友人関係」「部活動」「学業」「規則」「委員活動」の６因子を「学校ストレッサー」とし，ストレス反応を数々引き起こすことを明らかにしている⑴。学校はよりよい人間関係づくりをし，学習環境を整えることが喫緊の課題と考える。
