DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication) for VICS (Vehicle Information and Communication System) in Japan is composed of infrared beacons which are located along urban road and quasi-microwave beacons which are located along expressway. Its service has started since April 1996. While passing through the different two types of DSRC zones, it is required to maintain interoperability for the navigation system. Furthermore, it is desired to be easy installation of OBU (On-Board Unit). A multimedia OBU which ensure to amoothly communicate with the different types of beacons by using coprocessing procedure has been developed. This OBU also enable to be easily installed to the vehicle by using the multiplexing technique that the different types of DSRC signals and DC power supply are multiplexed on an one coaxial cable which connects with a head unit and a control unit.

本稿では、今後、一時的な車線規制に相当する情報提供が事前に行える可能性がある情報として工事予定情報に着目し、全国の主な高速道路における道路管理者の情報提供の実態を調査して VICS（道路交通情報システム）との比較分析を実施するとともに、実際に提供された工事予定情報の特性を分析し、工事予定情報に含まれる一時的な車線規制情報の活用可能性を考察した。 分析の結果、概ね全国の高速道路において工事予定情報が提供されていること、工事予定情報は先読みの情報として VICS を補完できる可能性があること、阪神高速道路で年間約 62,000 件の情報が提供されていることなどを明らかとし、工事予定情報に含まれる一時的な車線規制情報を把握する意義および可能性を整理した。

欧米各地では政府方針のもと，協調ITS（Cooperative ITS：車対車，車対インフラ，インフラ対インフラの通信を統合し，広範なITSサービスの利用を増大するシステム）の実証実験が活発に行われ，国際的に標準化が急速に進みつつある．本研究では，協調ITSについて，欧米や国内のプロジェクトで考えられている機器，通信，サービスの内容を調査・比較分析し，車両技術の高度化，無線技術の高度化など最新技術の動向や社会経済の潮流などを踏まえ，日本が今後中長期的に目指すべきITSサービスのシステムアーキテクチャを検討した．これをもとに，サービスの実現状況，研究開発状況を整理し，中長期で新たに提供を目指す協調ITSサービスの研究課題を抽出し，ITSに関する国の最近の政策動向も踏まえ，優先的に研究開発すべき新たな研究開発の方向性について考察した．

Since 1988, Japan Digital Road Map Association (DRM) creates, has created, updated and provided the Digital Road Map Database (DRM-DB) based on public-private collaboration. The DRM Database is the national standard digital road map database supporting ITS infrastructures in Japan. The DRM-DB enables automobile navigation systems to display road maps on their screens and search for the suitable traveling route.
