"En-joy" Development of a Tableware Design for the Ceramic Region of Mino vol.2

Abstract

"En-joy" is a series of porcellain tableware interpreting the one-plate-dish theme in a new way. The client, Maebata/Tajimi, is one of the largest trading companies in the Ceramics region of Mino/Japan. While one-plate-dishises (shikiri sara) in Japan originally suffer a very cheep image the design tries to add a more exclusive value to the product. Thus the project is part oft the clients effords, to change their sales approach from large-scale production of low-priced tableware for the mass-market to more high quality products of original design.
