An approach to improve the degree of automation in making digital motion picture is to combine Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the integrated design environment [1-2]. This paper implements a prototype of rule-based reasoning architecture which accommodates cinematic knowledge, goals and actions to endow movie making with high degree of automation from verbal screenplay input. It was written in CLIPS language.
