BROAFERENCE

- User Lookup in Video Chat Applications using Personal Interest Data -

We present BROAFERENCE, a study on next generation multimedia home platform.The idea of BROAFERENCE is to add a video chat service to a common TV. Users that are watching the same TV program distributed via IP broadcast can lookup and invite others belonging to the same program group to build or join an adhoc video conference like chat. People can enjoy the TV program together and exchange opinions and informations by using the BROAFERENCE system. We present our approach for the problems of lookup and presentation for a huge amount of frequently changingparticipants as it will happen if persons switch between different TV channels.
