The space order of the divided houses in the west district of Amami-ohsima were analyzed on following 2 conceptions. The conception of counterpart consisted of 3 notions, the notion of holiness-impurity between "toko" and "nandon", the notion of formal-informal between "omote" and "nesho" and the notion of upper-lower between "wiya" and "shahya" were shown through the analysis of the space order of the houses. The conception of directional aspect consisted of the notion of life-death between "the east" and "the west" and the notion of hatefulness were shown through the analysis of the aspect of the houses.
