The hospital geography is defined as the study introducing geographical approach to architectural planning. In this paper, discussion is focused on out-patient department of general hospitals based on the information collected by several surveys, method of which is mainly Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE). As the result, existence of the 'gap' between patients' expectation and actual facility/operational system is extensively recognized, and we realized the importance of providing architectural environment which facilitates the provision of 'uncontrolled information' which each patient gets by himself besides 'controlled information' which is given officially by hospital administrative bodies.
