Conclusion : 3-1 : In the field, that is planning of architecture, in which established optimizing method can hardly be applicable in real planning, however the study have had methodological prospect about optimization. In some case studies, the actual programs are made. 3-2 : The general principle in order to make optimizing program for various cases are obtained. 3-3 : In the system to make plan automatically, making the rule of plan variation at the first stage is controlled by design decision. 3-4 : In case where the limit about plan variation is loose and where the limits about the variables are so much, the plan can not fullybe constructed in the limited running time of usual computer. But, in sush a case, it is thought that this method can be practically utilized in which the method can bring relatively close to optimum. 3.5 : In order to achieve good result in limited calculating time, it might be effective to set up the suitable limit condition and to lessen the number of independent variables. 3-6 : It has become clear that by hanging the finishing specification, it did not exist any influence to a floor plan. 3-7 : The cost gap between the optimized and least optimized plans is not so large when a limited condition of plan variation is strong. In such a case, the grade of finishing specification is more effective to cost than the optimality of plan. 3-8 : Special features of most optimized plan are as follows : a. the frontage is rather short and the depth is deep. b. the unevenness of perimeter wall is little. c. the proportion of main space such as dining room is not extremely slim. 3-9 : The effect of unevenness of perimeter wall to cost is unexpectedly little. 4. Future development of this method : 4-1 : Application to modular-coordinated plan. 4-2 : Extension of cost model.
