The wavelet transform maps from the time domain to the time-frequency domain, and the basis of the discretized wavelet transform is orthonormal for suitable wavelet which is the kernel of the transform. The comparison and investigation of two different types of the wavelets, which are constructed by Y. Meyer and I. Daubechies, have performed. Then, the authors show through the two fundamental data that the both wavelets are well-reflected to the discontinuity of the data and Y. Meyer's wavelet is advantageous for the detection to the frequency change of the data. Moreover, the fundamental characteristics of phase change are investigated using Y. Meyer's wavelet.
